The Library is designed to give its members specialist support and the resources needed to help them heal any wound management challenge, in any species.

Membership of the Veterinary Wound Library is £138 per year, per practice and provides:

  • One to one help from specialists in the field
  • Dressing selection tool to help you find the right dressing for the right wound
  • Free of charge trial dressings for cases you manage and share through the library.
  • Articles and latest news, including special offers and discounts

The site offers access to some of the very best support and advice on management through the Clinical Advisory Panel. The specialists ready to help you include:

Free of charge dressings are available through the site and can be used for evaluation or pro-bono cases. By clicking on trial dressings you can select a product to suit your wound challenge. Kindly donated by product providers these dressings are provided free of charge on condition that a case report is uploaded into the library and that consent has been given by the animal owner.

Report software is integrated into the site and dressing ordering process. Uploading your case outcome is simple through your own 'manage my case reports' section.

Cases completed through the library are submitted for publication and only published if the member is happy to do so. It is hoped that sympathetic use of the library will raise the evidence base, give confidence, and a resource to any clinician facing a physiologically or financially challenging wound.

 

All the products made available through the Veterinary Wound Library are designed for use on wounds and meet stringent medical device standards through the CE marking system. Products designed for Veterinary use do not require a CE mark, however, only those technologies awarded a CE mark for human use can be considered for inclusion in the library to ensure that only reputable products are made available. No experimental products are made available through the library sampling system.
